Just finished a portrait of fellow illustrator Marc Aspinall for the Hello Head project. Marc’s portrait of me is below mine, nice work mate! There is due to be an exhibition showcasing all the portraits from the likes of Pietari Posti, Holly Wales, Gemma Corell, Lucy Joy, Owen P, Sam Glynn, Emily Golden, Heather gatley, Debbie Powell and Tom Hove so keep an eye out.

I was commissioned to produce a set of 3 tea towel designs for Maiden. The designs had to incorporate both the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games taking place in London this summer. I’m actually pretty excited about the latter, especially as our balcony overlooks the stadium (and also it will mean an end to the building work that makes lie-ins an impossibility!)

We have just formed ‘Bread’, a creative collective that specialises in graphic design, art direction, illustration, set design, photography and motion. We already have some really exciting projects on the horizon including work for the Olympic Legacy Committee and Monkstone Knitwear. Check out the website HERE.

I’ve just finished working on a really nice editorial for Sport Magazine. The issue focuses on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. I was asked to design the cover (picured) as well as producing an illustrated alphabet, map and profiles of the ‘players to watch’. If you’re in London on Friday (especially on the Tube) look out for it-it’s free!

Last month I worked with Vice UK on a project for Philips. I worked on the animated titles for a series of films documenting people who took time out of their day to pursue a passion, have fun or spread joy and happiness to to others in some way. The ‘Ice Cream Magician’ is above and you can watch more of the videos (including ‘Paper Pixel Man and ‘Snow King’) on the Philips’ BLOG. I should have them all up on my site in the next week or so, so check back soon!

Delighted to be featured on the Print Pattern Blog last week-many thanks! You can view the post HERE.

On Saturday I helped out my good friend Sam on an interactive Animation Workshop in Myatts Field Park as part of the Big Draw Campaign. With a camera suspended from the roof of a bandstand children were rounded up and invited to build a set and then create a stop-motion animation with them as the stars. It was a beautiful day and great fun was had by one and all!

You can see more drawings from the day and the ‘making of video’ HERE filmed by Hikaru Toda.
